The project goal was to add 91 table games for a total of 2,200 total gaming units. The initial planning of the building expansion was considered in two different locations with the final solution being approximately 26,900 square feet of new building added onto the north end of the existing building. Shive-Hattery was commissioned by Caesars Entertainment to complete the planning and design to accommodate the additional gaming and rebranding. This initiative put plans in progress for Caesars Indiana Grand Racing and Casino to expand their gaming floor and rebrand as a “Horseshoe” property. In 2019 the State of Indiana approved legislation allowing casinos to add table games to their property portfolios.
